Carr-Bridge Ahead Ltd – Minute Secretary

Carr-Bridge Ahead Ltd is looking to appoint a Minute Secretary

This is one of 2 Honorary positions supporting the Board of Directors of the Community Company and attracts a stipend for each meeting, paid in arrears.

Ordinarily, the Board meets every 2 months.  The Annual General Meeting is usually in October each year and from time to time there may be Extraordinary General Meetings.  These meetings are generally 2hrs long with additional time for word processing required.
Meetings may be held online therefore access to the internet and word processing skills and software are essential.

The minute secretary will work closely with the Secretary and will be responsible for

  • Compiling minutes of meetings, recording decisions and actions to be taken, by whom and by when.
  • Ensuring that issues to be voted on are properly proposed, seconded, and carried.
  • Ensure minutes are available to all Board Members no later than 7 days before meetings in accordance with the policies and procedures of Carr-Bridge Ahead Ltd.

This is an interesting and exciting phase for the community company as it seeks to optimise the opportunities for all to benefit from inward investment of the Community Benefit funds provided from local windfarms.
