Carrbridge Bursary

The Carrbridge Bursary is open to young people between the ages of 12- 25 who live in the Carrbridge and Duthil area. The guidance notes you can find below outline the type of eligible activities that will be considered for grant support. This may include; personal training, residential sports skills programmes, Duke of Edinburgh Awards, Raleigh International, John Muir Trust Award, mountain skills training at Glenmore Lodge and sports coaching awards. The scheme will also consider support towards coursework for computing, tutoring, guidance, purchase of equipment, books, travel and accommodation required to complete studies, attend courses or residential programmes. The scheme will support up to a maximum of 75% of costs.

Funds for the Bursary have been generated by volunteers who run Carrbridge’ s two high profile annual events; Carve Carrbridge and the famous World Porridge Making Championships. Together, the events produce a surplus that is reinvested back into the village and so make this scheme possible.

Applications can be made at any time of the year. Anyone under the age of 16 at the time of applying must have the signature and support of a parent, guardian or teacher.
